Fortnite is giving players the option to refund D4vd-themed cosmetics following the ongoing legal situation involving the artist.
D4vd, a singer who previously collaborated with Fortnite through in-game music and cosmetics, has recently been charged in connection with a murder investigation. As details of the case have surfaced, a portion of the community has expressed discomfort with keeping his items in their lockers.
Epic Games has now responded by allowing players to request refunds for D4vd-related cosmetics. This includes items tied to past collaborations, such as emotes, jam tracks, and event rewards. According to Epic, a self-service refund option will go live on April 28, 2026, making it easier for players to remove the content without going through customer support.
Some players have already attempted to refund these items months earlier, with at least one case taking over half a year to process. The new system appears to streamline that process, while also acknowledging the increased demand for refunds following the recent news.
