Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Ultimate Bot Influx

Posted on August 29, 2026August 29, 2026 By ShortieGamez No Comments on Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Ultimate Bot Influx

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 has brought plenty of exciting content to the battle royale.

However, some players aren’t happy with one change they’ve noticed: the number of bots appearing in matches.

Since the launch of the new Override season on August 20, players have reported seeing significantly fewer real players in their lobbies. Some community statistics shared online suggest that certain 100-player matches can contain as few as 25 real players, with the remaining slots being filled by bots.

For players who enjoy competitive matches, this has quickly become frustrating. Some fans say matches can feel easy for most of the game, with real competition appearing mostly in the final stages.

Why Are Fortnite Players Frustrated?

Additionally, Epic Games has used bots in Fortnite for years, especially in lower skill lobbies, to help players find matches. However, some players feel that the current balance has gone too far.

The concern is that fighting large numbers of bots doesn’t provide the same experience as fighting real players. Fighting only bots can slow progression for newer players when human opponents are not frequent. Regular exposure to humans improves learning.

The complaints also tie into the wider discussion surrounding Fortnite’s matchmaking and skill-based matchmaking (SBMM). Some players believe Epic Games should focus on improving matchmaking rather than relying so heavily on bots to fill lobbies.

Chapter 7 Season 4 Still Has Plenty to Offer

Despite the bot complaints, Override has introduced plenty of new content. The season features major gaming crossovers, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Tetris and Pac-Man, alongside new weapons and mechanics.

Players can explore Green Hill Zone and collect Sonic Rings. Meanwhile, the new Tetris Rift introduces a unique gameplay mechanic to matches.

Hints suggest that additional collaborations may arrive during the season. It could include Five Nights at Freddy’s and Persona 5 content.

For now, the bot situation remains a major talking point within the Fortnite community. It will be interesting to see Epic Games’ response to the complaints. Chapter 7 Season 4 continues, and changes to matchmaking could follow.
