So a pretty interesting datamine just dropped for Fatal Fury City of the Wolves, and it looks like SNK might already be lining up a massive long-term DLC plan.
Digging into the latest build (2.0.1, dropped right after the April 2026 update), dataminers have uncovered references to 12 unannounced fighter slots, labelled PL036 through PL049, and yeah, tat is not just filler data. It strongly hints at multiple future seasons already being mapped out behind the scenes.
Two of the slots look like they might already have identities attached:
- PL047 is believed to be Mr. Karate
- PL036 is thought to be Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star
The other ten? Completely blank placeholders for now, which means either SNK is still early in planning or they are deliberately keeping things flexible.
What makes this more interesting is that this is not the first time these IDs have popped up. Earlier datamines from 2025 already flagged a bunch of these slots, and some of those predictions have actually come true in-game, such as Krauser showing up in the recent season 2 update.
So there is at least some track record of these leaks being onto something.
Based on the current breakdown, the community is sketching out a rough DLC roadmap:
- Season 2 (2026): Mr Karate, Kenshiro
- Season 3 (2027-ish): returning faces like Duck King and Rick, plus a few mystery slots.
- Season 4 – 5 (2028 – 2029): a mix of known SNK characters and still-unrevealed fighters.
- Season 5 even includes big names like Ryo and Kasumi alongside more unknowns.
If even half of this turns out to be accurate, City of the Wolves is looking at a seriously long support cycle, potentially stretching all the way to 2029. That puts it right in line with modern fighters like Street Fighter 6, which are clearly built for multi-year DLC ecosystems.
Of course, it is worth stressing this is all datamine territory. Nothing here is officially confirmed, and SNK could reshuffle or scrap any of these plans at any time.
If you are a fighting game fan? This is exactly the kind of long-term roadmap speculation that keeps the community buzzing between seasons.
